Paris has endured many hardships since her father’s death. But the young woman with a history is currently pursuing her own singing career.

Despite the ups and downs of his life, he has now decided to talk about his childhood with his father, known as the “King of Pop.”

The world mourned the musician when he passed away in 2009. He had spent practically his entire life being hounded by the paparazzi and social media, and even when he was laid to rest for the final time, he was spared.

Nowadays, her family receives most of the attention. Her children, in particular, have been targeted, as the Jackson family is a frequent target of paparazzi.

Paris Jackson, Michael Jackson’s second daughter, has gained prestige. Now she’s working hard to differentiate herself from Michael Jackson’s daughter and establish herself as an independent person.

He has been suffering from a mental illness for several years, but the reality is that he is doing very well.

Paris Jackson was born on April 3, 1998, in California. She is Michael Jackson’s only daughter and his second son.

She and her brother were homeschooled until sixth grade, making their early years quite private. The children were carefully shielded from the public because Michael Jackson wanted them to remain isolated. Children in Michael’s family wore costumes or headscarves to hide their faces in early photographs.

“My father made sure we were cultured, that we had an education, and didn’t just show us the glitz and glamour, like five-star hotels and places,” Paris said.

It was like we saw everything. We saw developing countries. We saw the whole spectrum.

Paris Jackson lived his entire life as a child, while his father traveled the world to perform in front of hundreds of thousands of people.

She says she was very grateful for her privileged position. But at the same time, Paris learned from a very young age that she shouldn’t feel entitled to everything. Her father made sure the children understood the concept of having to work hard to get what they wanted.

“Even as kids, it was all about making money,” Paris said. “If we wanted five toys from FAO Schwarz or Toys ‘R’ Us, we had to read five books.

“It’s about listening to it, not just being entitled to certain things or thinking, ‘Oh, I have it all,’” he added. “It’s about working hard to get it. It’s something completely different; it’s an achievement.”

Paris was only 11 years old when his father died.

On July 25, 2009, “The King of Pop” suffered a cardiac arrest at his home and died shortly after being taken to a nearby hospital. Paris and her siblings were placed under the legal guardianship of their grandmother, Katherine Jackson, according to Michael’s will.

During his father’s televised funeral, 11-year-old Paris stood in front of the television to say a few words about his father.

“Since I was born, Dad has been the best father you could ever imagine,” she said. “And I just wanted to tell you how much I love you.”

Paris and her brothers, Prince Michael, 12, and Prince Michael II, 7, were present during the televised memorial service. In fact, it was practically the first time the public was able to see more than a brief glimpse of Jackson’s children.

In January 2010, they were seen publicly accepting a posthumous lifetime achievement award for their father at the 2010 Grammy Awards.

In November of that same year, Paris appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to talk about her father, saying he was amazing.

“I knew he was a good father; he was the best cook in the world,” he told Wifrey. “He was a normal, upright father.”

“She made the best French toast in the world,” Paris added.

When Michael Jackson passed away, Paris Jackson moved into a farmhouse in Calabasas, California, with her grandmother Katherine Jackson and other family members, according to The Daily Mail.

When she turned 19, she decided to move into Michael Jackson’s private studio at the family compound, which she transformed into a dormitory-style bedroom.

Losing your father is difficult. But for Paris, it was much more than that. Once again, he was expected to continue his father’s legacy.

I didn’t grow up very quickly. When I started seventh grade, Paris decided to go to a private school. Back then, the only people who accepted her as she was were the older ones, and everything worked out perfectly.

“I did a lot of things that a 13-, 14-, and 15-year-old girl shouldn’t do. I grew up too fast, and I was a good person,” she told Rolling Stone magazine.

Around the same time, social media had become popular and Paris was experiencing cyberbullying.

“The whole issue of freedom of expression is important,” he explained. “But I don’t think our Founding Fathers predicted that social media would create all this fear and all that.”

Paris suffered many tragedies during her teenage years. She even committed suicide after a serious incident, but that also marked her turning point.

She spent her sophomore year, as well as half of her junior year, at therapeutic school in Utah, which was great for her.

“I’m a completely different person,” she said. “I was crazy. I really was. I was going through a lot of teenage angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and anxiety.”

Paris graduated from high school in 2015, a year early, but by then she already had a lot to worry about. She was one of the heirs to Michael Jackson’s multimillion-dollar estate, and everyone saw her as a celebrity, something she hadn’t actually done.

Now, however, Jackson is following the same path as her father: the method of self-compassion. She has taken her father’s advice to heart: if you want something, you have to work for it. During the interview with Naomi Campbell, Paris said she is “fully convinced” that success must be earned.

For someone who seemed incredibly strong, the daughter of one of the most famous figures in modern history, this is something we adore Paris for. Regardless of her past or her father, she’s willing to do her part.

She grew up surrounded only by adults, except for her siblings. Leaving school to go to college was a big change. She grew up as Michael Jackson’s daughter, but for her, the world was much more than that. At first, everything was bad.

“The first time I encountered the real world, it shocked me. It stunned me,” Paris told Harper’s Bazaar. “It wasn’t just sexist, but also misogynistic, racist, and cruel. It was incredibly scary. And it still is.”

And what did Paris do? Well, she went her own way, starting out as a model. And she has an incredible story to tell!

In recent years, she has appeared on the covers of some of the world’s most influential magazines, including Rolling Story, Vogue, and Narcisse, to name a few.

For Paris, modeling is very therapeutic and physical. Perhaps she was surprised by her father’s transformation thanks to his extensive plastic surgery. But in this age of social media and cyberbullying, Paris ignores her decision.

“I’ve been struggling with my self-esteem for a long time,” she said. “A lot of people think I’m ugly, and a lot of other people don’t. But there are times, as a model, when I forget about my self-esteem issues and focus on what the photographer is saying, and I feel great. And in that sense, it’s selfish.”

Paris’s Instagram followers get a glimpse into her life as she seems to enjoy hanging out with her friends and enjoying all the things in life she might have experienced when she was younger.

She released her debut album, Wilted, in 2020, following in her father’s musical footsteps. Paris Jackson is dedicated to music, but her CD leans toward melodic folk rather than the R&B and pop styles her father was familiar with.

“It’s primarily a story of heartbreak and love in general, and the heartache and feelings that arise when things don’t work out,” he told Paper.

Paris Jackson grew up with her father’s music and claims to know the lyrics to all of his songs. Although she created her own music, it’s inevitable that Michael Jackson’s musical taste influenced her.

“I was fascinated by classical music, jazz, hip hop, R&B, and, of course, the Motow style,” he explains.

Paris Jackson paid tribute to her father with more than 50 tattoos. None of them are dedicated to Michael Jackson.

“I feel it with me all the time.” She doesn’t believe that time passes and changes because she has learned to live with the tragic loss of her father.

But at the same time, Michael Jackson will always be with her, just as she remembers visiting her in her dreams.

“I live with the reality of, ‘Well, I lost the only thing that was ever important to me,’” he told Rolling Stone. “So, from now on, anything bad that happens won’t be as bad as what happened before. So I can deal with it.”

“I feel it with myself all the time.”

Anyone who has suffered the loss of a parent can empathize with Paris and the pain it entails. However, she has also experienced tragedy in the same way as Paris Jackson.
