We are animals. Although human beings often find it difficult to accept this fundamental fact,  non-humans give us lessons of solidarity among themselves at every moment , regardless of their species. A statement that you will amply demonstrate by reading our next story.

And, if we talk about dogs, this tremendous ability to act in favor of others in a selfless way is enhanced and, in case you have any doubts about it, we present the case of  Zoey, a dog willing to help any being in need. danger, just as he did with a doe whom he found sick.

Another witness to that was a man identified as  Pat Pollifrone , a musician from the American band Miller Holler, who,  along with his dog Zoey, came across the deer  lying on the ground in the patio of his house.

Seeing the animal practically immobile, and aware that non-domestic animals must remain in their own habitat, he  moved it to a place in the forest and deposited it there with great care . However,  the poor deer remained inert . No matter how much  Pat tried to revive her , the little girl didn’t move.h-a-n-h

The musician took some water from his backpack to give the sick animal a drink.  He presented several subcutaneous wounds caused by hundreds of tick bites  that Pollifrone proceeded to heal.h-a-n-h

At that moment, the sweet and supportive Zoey made her triumphant entry to help  her caregiver.  She did her best to cuddle and cuddle the  convalescent fawn and keep her calm while Pat waited for her mother to reappear, or for someone to arrive to help.h-a-n-h

The canine remained vigilant and did not leave  the fallen mammal for even a second,  alert and attentive, filling it with kisses and snuggling protectively and attentive to every movement.

Later,  Pollifrone baptized her with the name Bambi  and captured the entire scene in a tender video, which has delighted thousands of users on the Internet.h-a-n-h

The images show that, although her care was not that of a professional, at least  Zoey was serving to keep Bambi serene , while both continued to hope that the mother deer would show up to claim her daughter.h-a-n-h

“We will continue to take care of the baby until his mother returns. It is much better! Pooping, peeing, drinking goat’s milk.  The infection in her eye is clearing up and her ticks have left her alone ,” Pat said in her post.h-a-n-h

After an intense search, fortunately,  a local protector called Gibson County Goat Ranch , in Indiana, United States,  took over Bambi’s care.  They will try to rehabilitate it so that it returns to its natural habitat.  Surely, the cute little dog named Zoey will miss her very much.

Once again it has been demonstrated that, if there is something that characterizes dogs, it is that tremendous capacity they have to give themselves completely and give love without expecting anything in return, no matter who it may be.
