After breakfast, while reviewing the morning’s photographs in my room, I was startled by the alarming sound of an elephant’s trumpet and splashing water.”

Reacting swiftly, Strauss hurried outside and discovered the elephant relentlessly pursuing the mother hippo. Grasping his camera, he positioned himself just as the elephant closed in on the baby hippo.
