This is a species of lizard that lives mostly in deserts in Australia. Covering their entire body are rough, sharp spines that help them avoid predators and threaten enemies. They can camouflage by changing color to resemble their surroundings. This spiny lizard can live up to 20 years, more than most other lizards.
