This unusual incident began when drivers in China saw a large python hanging from a car as it was traveling down a highway.

Photos taken on July 3 in Yiyang, Hunan Province, show the enormous snake stretched across the back of a moving truck. The courageous pet snake seemed to have slithered out the window and was heading for the bumper.

The yellow Burmese python, however, managed to escape and had to be saved by the road crew. It was taken to a veterinarian so that minor injuries could be treated.

According to a driver who was behind the SUV, the snake is obviously the owner’s pet because it was crawling out of the window. The unusual incident’s video was made public, and authorities were looking for the owner of the car.

A photo of a sizable python with its most recent meal still within it went viral online a few months prior to the occurrence. The snake had a notably protruding belly when it was captured on camera inside what seemed to be a shed or garage.

Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers reported that it had eaten a huge possum. Many online users remarked that the snake’s prey appeared to be far larger than a possum.
