Luna, Bella and Storm have been waiting over 500 days for adoption at the RSPCA’s Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Branch. Now the charity is showcasing their hunt for a new home as part of its Adoptober month-long rehoming campaign.
Steph McCawley, supporter engagement officer at the RSPCA’s Chesterfield and North Derbyshire branch, says, “All three dogs have so much to give and it’s so sad that they are still waiting for new homes. We know that their perfect owners are out there for them and we really hope that they come forward soon. We love having them in our care but, even more, we love to see our dogs go to their forever homes.”
Meet Chesterfield’s most patient dogs…
Luna
Luna, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, is incredibly affectionate and thrives on kisses and cuddles. Steph affectionately describes her, saying, “If kisses were a currency, Luna would be richer than any tycoon! She is truly special.”
At just one year old, Luna is a spirited and energetic girl who requires an owner who can match her vitality and provide her with ample outlets for her energy. Most importantly, she seeks a loving home where she can receive the same love she showers upon others. Luna would prefer to be the sole dog in a household with adults only.
Bella
Bella, the French Bulldog, was surrendered by her previous owner due to their inability to provide proper care. This experience deeply impacted Bella, causing her to feel anxious around unfamiliar people and struggle with trust. However, with time, she has the potential to become an amazing companion, as she is inherently friendly and a bundle of fun. Steph emphasized, “All Bella needs is time, patience, and a secure environment, and she will be a devoted companion for life.”
Similar to Luna, Bella would thrive best as the sole dog in a household with adult owners.
Storm
Storm, the energetic crossbreed, is known as the “friend of everyone” and always wears a big smile! Steph affectionately described her, saying, “She is playful and full of energy, determined and uninhibited, and outgoing and confident.”
“She’s an absolute sweetheart. Storm holds no preconceptions or judgments and loves everyone equally. For her, a friend is a friend, and she goes out of her way to make sure they feel it.”
Prospective owners should be active individuals to keep up with Storm’s energy. There is a possibility that Storm could live harmoniously with another dog.
