Rescuing Abandoned Puppies in Need of Medical Attention
On February 1st, a lady called us for help regarding some abandoned puppies. She explained that her neighbor’s dog had given birth to five puppies, but only two were left. The owner didn’t want to take care of them and was planning to dump them. When we arrived, we saw that he had already left them outside. The mother of the puppies was skinny, a sign that she lacked nutrition after giving birth. Two of her remaining puppies were heavily infected with parasites, and the youngest one looked very weak and was shivering.h-a-n-h
We asked the owner if we could take all of them, but he only allowed us to take two. It was heartbreaking to see the mother dog running after us, begging us to let her stay with her kids. Unfortunately, we had to take them for their health treatment. The only thing we could do was to calm her down and reassure her that everything would be okay.h-a-n-h
Luckily, the two puppies we took had good blood test results, indicating that they were healthy. They required medical attention for the skin parasites, which would be removed by a medical bath. The younger pup required a small surgery to remove worms from her paws. Her brother was better and ready for his medical bath, but their treatment would take another week.h-a-n-h
Despite their medical needs, the puppies still had good appetites and were very energetic after their meals. They loved to play and were a joy to be around. After 28 hours of being in the vet’s care, we were finally allowed to take them home. We took some pictures of them and shared their story for adoption.h-a-n-h
The puppies’ rescue is a reminder that some animals are abandoned and left to suffer, but with a little help, they can have a second chance at life. It’s essential to be aware of animals in need and to take action to help them when possible. Together, we can make a difference and give them the love and care they deserve.h-a-n-h
