Aпdrea Domjaп is a talented artist. Like most professional photographers, she tells her stories through beautiful photographs. Some stories, however, are more powerful than others. Since it’s about his sister-in-law, Dori, and Dori’s dog, Alf, this powerful story turns bitter. It may be the task that most photographers seek to cover, but we are more than happy that Domjaп can help us share Dori and Alf’s story with us.

Alf is υп Bυllmastiff. When Domjaп received a call from Dori asking her to take a series of photographs of the two of them, she was devastated to learn that Alf had been diagnosed with the most aggressive form of cancer. These photographs would become the celebration of Alf’s life as he reached the end of his journey here on Earth. It is estimated that 50% of dogs are diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, and Domjaп knew that Dori and Alf’s story would touch the lives of many people.h-a-n-h

Dori has rescued many Bυllmastiffs from shelters over the years, and each one of them has had a positive impact on her life. Domjaп says that Dori always chose old or disabled dogs to offer them a better life towards the end of their days. Domjaп would like to capture the special relationship Dori and Alf had, celebrating everything they loved to do together, like going for walks, sitting and looking at the scenery, and traveling in Dori’s convertible.h-a-n-h

It has been several years since Alf passed away. In fact, Dori said goodbye to Alf just a few weeks after this beautiful photo session. But Domjaп’s photographs will forever remain Dori’s heart and also his master. We know that Dori and Alf’s story can help comfort and inspire other dog owners who have dogs with cancer. We know that these photographs have helped Dori to save.h-a-n-h

When asked how her art had helped Dori, Domjaп responded: “These photos have helped her the most because this way she remembers only the good moments, like her walks together or sitting next to each other, look all the beautiful nature that surrounded them. . Even when looking at them, Dori could see in their eyes that he was already more and more sick, the first thing that comes to mind is their perfect harmony and how great the role of Alf was in his life, how he became his half for ha” .

“It lasted a long time Dori thought that the cancer was hers. She blamed herself and she felt that maybe she had treated him well or she had given Alf enough love. But later he discovered that the cancer was genetic, it turned out that his mother, his uncle and his brother had already died from the cancer,” Domjaп added, referring to Dori. “He also learned that another important factor may be the food and lifestyle that owners provide for their dogs. Since then she has been more cautious with the type of food she feeds her pets. She now prefers BARF raw food and does everything she can to prevent any illness. Dori firmly believes that it is possible to beat cancer. She knows many dogs that have actually survived cancer.”h-a-n-h

Dori adds: “You can and you should do everything possible to combat it. At the same time, you have to know how to stop fighting and let them go.” We couldn’t agree more. It’s never easy to say goodbye or fight against some of the illnesses you suffer from with your dear dogs. But we can be a rock, like they are our brothers, and we can support and love each other forever, even after saying our last physical goodbye.h-a-n-h
