Melanie Pafford,  co-founder of the animal protector  Street Dog Foundation,  in Tennessee, USA, decided to make this story known with the intention of raising awareness about these alarming facts.

While passing by a garbage center in 2017 he noticed that something was not right and approached it, he could not believe what he found. Behind all the waste there was a poor puppy in deplorable conditions.

The little furry boy, whom they named Liam, had been abandoned to his fate.  The state of health of this dog was very complicated.

Liam had severe bite marks all over his body , his life was in danger.

This puppy’s destiny changed forever after being rescued.  After he reached the hands of the center’s staff he received all the love and care necessary to move forward.

Little by little, his caregivers gained Liam’s trust,  until this puppy completely surrendered to the staff’s arms.

According to local information, a woman revealed that  this little furry dog ​​was attacked by other dogs and was found very sick.  This noble woman, with the help of a volunteer from the protector, made an enormous effort to get him out of that place. Liam wasn’t moving or reacting on his own.h-a-n-h

Melanie’s partner Kent managed to make space among the trash so Liam could get out, but nothing motivated him to move.

“He was completely exhausted,” Kent said. After several attempts to get the puppy to come out on his own, Kent took matters into his own hands and went inside, wrapped Liam in a soft towel and carried him to a van.h-a-n-h

After seeing his paws they realized that he had infected bites , so Melanie assumed that he had been  used as “bait” in dog fights.

Liam was immediately taken to the nearest veterinary center, where he received treatment with serum and antibiotics.  They also cleaned his wounds. But despite all the efforts to save him, the prognosis for the little furry boy’s life was reserved.h-a-n-h

They really didn’t have much hope that he would survive. Liam was in very poor health. “His whole spirit was so affected that he was just giving up, and that was what worried us the most,” said Melanie. Little by little this little dog began to show enthusiasm after feeling except.

Since he realized he had been rescued and felt loved, he never stopped wagging his tail despite all the pain he was suffering.h-a-n-h

He went from being a scared, distrustful and shy little dog to being a furry dog ​​with a witty, curious and fun personality.  Liam showed no gratitude for the new chance at life that the rescue personnel had given him.h-a-n-h
