A nice publication has melted the hearts of thousands of users, who have released tensions with the sweet images of a couple, apparently mismatched, who has shown that  friendship knows no barriers .h-a-n-h

While it is true that for a hunting dog the natural thing is to chase squirrels and any specimen that runs or crawls, the case of  Callie , a beautiful Australian shepherd, falls outside this mold. It turns out that since she met Stewart, a playful little toothed squirrel, there is no one else in the world for her.  She loves to snuggle next to the nut eater all day, which has made the pair inseparable .

However, Stewart’s story hasn’t always been a bed of roses. Being just a helpless baby, he fell from a tree and spent a long time outdoors on the verge of dying. However, fortunately  a kind-hearted family found him, rescued him, and gave him a warm new home where he met Callie . The rest was love at first sight.h-a-n-h

Callie and Stewart  today share a bond that many of us humans would like to be able to imitate and have formed a wonderful and inseparable friendship, demonstrating that  love and affection knows no shapes, sizes or colors.

“This squirrel was rescued as a baby and loves his dog very much,” is the published message that accompanies the photographs of the couple.

As you see, human beings have a lot to learn from animals. They do not distinguish color, size or species when it comes to forming a friendship. But they’re even more surprising,  because like Callie did, animals can adopt the children of another species when they find the babies to be alone and vulnerable .h-a-n-h

However, I believe that the decisions that animals make in relationships between different species are the same as they would make in relationships with other animals of the same species. Not all dogs like other dogs. Animals are very selective when it comes to letting other individuals into their lives .h-a-n-h
